Estkowskiego Street. – The Minister had the opportunity to get to know some of our staff, but also the conditions of the researchers’ daily work. Our aim is to improve the standard of infrastructure, so one of the key topics was the need to build a campus, which we are currently working on. This will be one of the scientific showpieces of Wielkopolska,’ says Łukasiewicz – PIT director Arkadiusz Kawa.
The deputy minister then attended a meeting organised by the Poznań University of Technology and Łukasiewicz – Poznań Institute of Technology under the theme ‘Science for business’. The event was also attended by parliamentarians from the Wielkopolska region and representatives of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, the Marshal’s Office of the Wielkopolska Region and the Wielkopolska Voivodeship Office. In many respects we complement each other, and competition has been replaced by synergy,’ says the rector of Poznan University of Technology, Teofil Jesionowski. – We focus on development in the broadest sense of the term, so one of our goals is to further modernise our scientific base, also by investing in the university’s infrastructure, the rector adds.
